Isle of Iona

Dining At The Argyll Hotel

We pride ourselves on provenance. Handcrafted meals are created by Richard, using only the finest garden and local vegetables, shell fish, sustainably landed fish, lamb, hogget and organic dairyproducts. Local crofters supply us with lamb and hogget (second year lamb), some pork and soon beef too! We are continuing to work with local crofters to maximize their income from their produce by supplying us directly. Much of the rest of our beef, game and pork is sourced directly from the Mull Slaughterhouse, helping the wider Mull & Iona food producing community.

We are proud to be founding members of the ‘Mull & Iona Food Trail’ so look out for this years ‘Moveable Feasts' events  happening throughout the season.

Our delicious food is served in our relaxed and friendly dining room. The sun lounge offers un-rivaled views across the water to Mull and houses our most popular tables. We try to share them around so that everyone can have an opportunity to enjoy them. We can seat up to 45 diners and priority is given to residents, so early booking is essential most of the season especially for larger groups.

If you would like to organise a group lunch, please be in touch so we can tailor the menu to offer you the best and most efficient service.

We are open to non-residents from 10am, lunches, afternoon teas and drinks can be enjoyed outside on the lawn or one of our lounges. Dogs and well behaved owners can be served in the front two lounges by the front door!

The independent merchant, Corney and Barrow supply our fine wine list, delivering quality at reasonable prices where provenance is guaranteed.
